I am waiting for more reports from the groomers before I do a full report but Groomer Marc reported to be alert to drifts, some icing, and small branches blown onto the trails.
He left at 7 last night and got back in the barn at 7:30 this morning. Our two other groomers were still out as of 7:30 am. There is a lot of new snow, one snow report 14″ in the last 24 hours. We are currently under a LES advisory calling for another 5 to 13″ by tomorrow.
My yard has over 24 inches on the level with drifts galore well over 3 feet!! Gonna be one heck of a weekend to ride!

EVENIND UPDATE: The Trail Boss, Norm, has released the Cats! The groomers will be heading out at 7 tonight.
You are all probably worried about the warm up we had. It got up to 37 degrees here yesterday but thankfully no rain, maybe a little misty stuff in the fog but nothing to worry about. We kept the groomers in last night and it’s cooling down; it’s 29.7 this morning and the temperature is supposed to keep dropping; staying in the teens the rest of the week. The NWS snow map shows we really haven’t lost any snow and another storm is on her way; expected to bring 6 to 12 inches of fresh snow. Things in Grand Marais are good!
