GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc.​ – East on 8. The ungroomed portion of the trail is getting into really poor condition with wet spots, moguls and deep truck ruts. The stretch between the tin shack east to the next turning point had some truck activity also. Beware of ruts. Fair conditions at best. Groomer Dan

Groomer report: A bit of ice showing along H58. Sand showing and wet spots along 8. Pretty good where 8 turns to 43/88 but not a lot of snow. We need snow. Listen to Elmer and do your snow dances. Stay safe out there guys. – Groomer Kevin

S. Trail 443 , is getting some snow , and WE are getting bumps shaved off . There are a few Slush holes , from rain , these should freeze up … There is decent snow coming down now , 6 a.m. This is a good trail , seen a set of tracks , someone enjoying a sweet ride …MERRY CHRISTMAS ! 🎅❄ Groomer Ted

GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc.​ – Was just informed GM groomers WILL go out tonight. When I hear from them, you’ll hear from me.

Ok folks here’s what we can tell you. Obviously our groomers did not go out last night. Per Sno-Trails President Tom:
Temps below freezing and its trying to snow. Snow in forecast and we haven’t been out in three nights so we aren’t sure how the trails are holding up however it looks promising. If temps hold we will more than likely send out the groomers to do some assessing. Keep snow dancing ❄️❄️❄️
