Sault Ste. Marie Trail Report – 01/22

Trails are turning into great shape. Last night the wet areas in town were all frozen and flat as a board. Lots of snow everywhere the city is working on getting the barrels out to mark the trail downtown. We groom right in the street and along in front of the locks. We have not had enough snow to do that in 2 yes TWO years. The weather sounds great all the way to the 500!

19 inches of snow since Wednesday. Groomers have been out getting the trails back in shape and smoothed out. Trails are all in good to excellent shape, except 2 water spots. You can get around both of them but they are hopefully frozen by tommorrow. One is on the Kinross to Soo trail and the second on Kinross to Raco trail! All other wet spots have frozen over with temps hovering around zero since Sunday.

Also many less signs on the trails this year, no more chevrons on every little bend in the trail.
