Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 12/22

Greetings Anxious Sledders,

Welcome to the 13th year of this report. It has been said that this report has just slightly more entertainment value than that of the ubiquitous insurance commercials on radio and TV, it just isn’t repeated 673 times per day.

We thought that last year was as bad as it could get, wrong. However I’ve decided that the lack of snow won’t get me down like it did last season when I was on the verge of doing something drastic like jumping off of one of our buildings when it dawned on me that the eaves are only 8 feet tall and the net result of the devastating fall would probably be a sprained ankle at worst which would render me hobbled AND depressed. There is of course the garage that has 13 foot eaves but then I would have had to explain why I had to buy a ladder to reach the roof just to jump off with likely the same results.
Better days are sure to come.

We spent around 250 man hours on the trails and getting equipment ready for the season and all that is needed now is snow, which according to John Dee doesn’t look to be happening anytime soon.

The next report will appear once we get a forecast of meaningful snowfall, or if you’re really bored you can read this one 673 times.

Have a GREAT HOLIDAY everyone.

When the time comes,
Ride Often and Please Be Safe,
Keith, Sandy and The Girls

At Fay’s Motel enjoy direct access to the Grayling Area snowmobile trails.
