Ranch Rudolph – 1/14

Temps have finally dropped and we are seeing snow! We have a lot to make up for from the past handful of warm days that took us back to dirt, but things are looking promising by the weekend with chances of scattered lake effect and cold temps all week. No one is riding yet, but we’re hoping within the next couple of days that all changes.

Groomers Running: No

Base: None

Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 01/14

We received a dusting of snow over the weekend. For the next few days the daytime temps will be in the teens and low twenties with a 60% chance of snow on Wednesday.

The Gogebic Range Trail Authority
reports: Groomers have been taken off the trails until we get some snow. Expect bare spots and icy spots and poor conditions. We need more snow to get the trails in great shape. Be Patient!!!

The Lake Gogebic groomers reports: We have not had much snow to get our trails in shape. We rolled our trails earlier but with the lack of snow we are unable to go out. Expect icy corners and bare spots. Groomers are ready and waiting to go out.

The Watersmeet groomers have not gone out yet, they need more snow. There is very little to no base. They are biting at the bit to go out and groom.

All areas need more snow….keep in mind groomers can be out day or night so watch out for them and please pull over or slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by.

Please be careful on corners as you know several Michigan Trail signs have been discontinued. These signs are posted on our trail map. PLEASE BE SAFE!!!!
