KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Michigan’s Keweenaw – 12/31

Snowmobile trails are improving with the new snow and cooler temperatures. Groomers are out working on them. Conditions are fair to good. Watch for water on the trails.

Valley Sno Drifters trail from Lake Linden to Dreamland Restaurant & Bar is OPEN!
The Portage Lift Bridge is open to snowmobile traffic.
A reroute on Trail 133 around the Gay stamp sands is now open.
The “Mandan Trail” portion of Trail 134 is open.
Trail 3 from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden and the Freda Trail (south of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge) will be closed the entire season for repair.

Remember when you’re out on the trails to watch out for the groomers. They have the right away.

Please stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, drive safely. The signs on the trails are there for rider’s safety so please DO NOT remove or destroy them.

GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc.​ – 12/31

Some trails did not get groomed last night (8west, 88 ). Most of the trails hit last night were panned. Lots of trees down again and many many low hanging branches. Lots of snow but it was wet and heavy. Going to take a few days to clean up once again and we are short drivers this week also. If you’re riding today please use caution and if you come across debris on the trail that you can safely move please do. It would be greatly appreciated!! Have patience-we’re doing our best!!
