GRAND MARAIS UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc.​ – 12/31

Some trails did not get groomed last night (8west, 88 ). Most of the trails hit last night were panned. Lots of trees down again and many many low hanging branches. Lots of snow but it was wet and heavy. Going to take a few days to clean up once again and we are short drivers this week also. If you’re riding today please use caution and if you come across debris on the trail that you can safely move please do. It would be greatly appreciated!! Have patience-we’re doing our best!!

It’s been snowing a decent pace this morning and its still coming down. I would say in the past 2 days about 8 inches total. There were sleds out and about yesterday but not one rode into the shop here but alot of people stopped in that were driving.

This morning sleds are buzzing around town but still none into here. You can ride but remember 2 days ago we had zero snow. This is a nice thick snow so that is good as its a good packing snow. Big question is will it last thru the weekend? Who knows but all you can do is try.

Still incredible compared to sunday. Many power outages yesterday due to the heavy snow and I made the news on 9 and 10 again last night, here is a link to it.
