Cadillac Area Trail Report – 01/22

CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort – 1/22

Conditions are still keeping up here at Coyote! Photos taken this morning by Pete while grooming.

Today’s trail report "Hello- Rode yesterday north, to Thompsonville and found most everything to be Good, except the RR Grades were mostly Fair, with several rocks being visible. Then went south and west towards Bear Lake and most were Good, but got thin close to Bear Lake. Then went south to Brethren where found mostly Good, but thin near town. Lastly headed towards Wellston and things were mostly Good that whole way back towards Coyote. I am heading out this morning to take my weekly shift in John Deere groomer. Most secondary roads are still very nice and rideable. We have put out donation jars around Cadillac area businesses, so please help out this VOLUNTEER organization. Not all expenses that we have are refundable through Trail Permit money. THINK SNOW! Pete"

Sidnaw / Bruce Crossing Trail Report – 01/22

We have both of our groomers down but with the help of our neighbors, Keweenaw Trails Services and Baraga County Convention and Visitors Bureau, have loaned us groomers to use while our machines are being repaired. Thank you!

Please DO NOT climb the "Military Hill" from the highway, US 45, to the fence, we have ongoing erosion issues there and the hill climbers are adding to the problem. YOU COULD CAUSE THIS MAJOR TRAIL TO BE CLOSED IF YOU CONTINUE!

Watch for the groomers, they take up most of the trail and have the right of way!

Please pull over and DIM your lights for them, they have a long night out there.

Remember, you can get off the trail, the groomer can not.

Please ride on right side of the trail, STOP at the stop signs and treat YEILD signs appropriately.

Trail #3 North to Rockland is GOOD on the South end and GOOD on the North end.

Trail #8 from Ewen to trail #3 North is GOOD.

Trail #3/8 East from Bruce Crossing to the trail #3 South intersection is GOOD.

Trail #3/8 West from Bruce Crossing to the trail #3 North intersection is GOOD.

Trail #3 South from the railroad grade to the CC road is GOOD.

Trail #8 from the trail #3 South intersection to Trout Creek is GOOD.

Trail #8 from Trout Creek to Kenton is GOOD.

Trail #8 from Kenton to Sidnaw is GOOD.

Trail #8/15/109 from Sidnaw to Bob Lake is GOOD.

Have a fun and safe trip, thank you for riding our trails and visiting our local businesses!
