Groomer is out for another run tonight! We need new snow and cold. Road crossings are soft and starting to get dirty. Trail is holding up well, but weekend traffic and another warm up will change that. Be prepared for trails to get rough in the afternoon this weekend…

TRAIL REPORT – Thursday, 01-30-2020
TRAILS HOLDING UP WELL
Overall trail conditions are very good. Sort of a repeat report. With the colder, dryer weather, grooming operations are still getting great results. Being just below freezing trails are workable and setting good in areas. Trail 419 near Wetmore and Trail 7 near Christmas are icy with sugary snow because of being high traffic areas. We really need a substantial snowfall to bind things together and keep the groomed ribbons lasting longer. I looks like a warm end to the weekend coming up – lets hope the forecast is are wrong. TRAVERSE CITY UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club​ – 1/30

As most of you that live in our area know we have not received any fresh snow for the last few days. Luckily temperatures have stayed around or below freezing so we have not had much meltdown.

We still desperately need snow to freshen up the trails. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed for the next weather system that is supposed to cross our region at the beginning of next week and bring some big snow with it.
