Well, the warm weather has not been good. Trails have held up surprisingly good considering warm days. Mainly because nights have been cold, the wind has cooled down temps and traffic has been low. This weekend, at this point will still be ridable, with snirt in usual high traffic areas. Temperatures we expect to cool down Friday or Saturday. I took a drive through Mancelona and Gaylord yesterday, and Traverse City and Mancelona definitely have more snow than Gaylord. I will update closer to the weekend.
See you on the trail!
Cheers,
Brett

Snow Accumulation: 12 inches*
An UPDATE just received from Al Green our Trail Coordinator: "With the cooler temps. Monday night and all day Tuesday, grooming continued. The drivers reported that most of the trails are in good condition, especially the wide open forest and county roads. The White Pine Trail and sections of the trail in the tight, twisty wooded sections are marginal. We groomed to get all trails smoothed out prior to the warm up expected for on Wednesday and Thursday. Cooler temps and some snow is in the forecast for Friday night and Saturday followed again by another warming trend. As of Wed. morning the trails are actually quite good. Lets hope we do not get a lot of RAIN, as we can survive some warm temps. but RAIN will destroy the trails quickly."
