It is a beautiful day in the Keweenaw neighborhood today! Sunshine and blue skies and temps could reach 40! Although they will be soft in the afternoon, trails, both ski & snowmobile, remain in great shape in the wooded areas!
The snowmobile trails from TwinLakes to CopperHarbor are open, and groomers are out working on them. Trails are reported to range from poor condtion in towns, near the lake and in low snow areas to good to very good condition in the woods.
Remember to watch out for the groomers when you’re out on the trails…….they have the right of way!!
There is logging on a short portion of Trail 133 between Gay and Lac La Belle.
The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the snowmobile trails are there for the riders’ safety. Please, DO NOT remove or destroy these signs.
