Trail Report: Jan. 2nd, 2013 @ 10:05 am
The snowmobile trails are open and busy! Trails are being groomed. There is about a 2 inch base ! The local club has been working on getting all the trees off the trails! ‘CAUTION’ is advised because of the debrie along the sides of the trails and low hanging limbs! The forecast has temps staying below freezing. “CAUTION” is advised on hill tops and curves!

Trail #9 to Pine StumpJoe reports a fair to good trail, except for the corners where the snow has been blown out by all of the sleds.
Trail #45 to the Falls has been groomed. Low lying areas are not froze yet and there is some water on the trail. John reports the trail is in Fair Condition
Trail #9/2 to Epoufette/Trout lake is in Fair Condition. Be carful just south of Rexton as there are rocks sticking up through the snow. We groomed to Epoufette, and to the power lines going to Trout Lake. There is not enough snow and the ground has not froze to allow us to go along the railroad Tracks.
The trails on private land are open. All of the signing is done, and there are a lot fewer signs this year, so BE CAREFUL. All chevrons to mark curves are gone.
THE NORTH STORE ON CO. RD. 407,WILL BE OPEN THIS YEAR.
The curfew for the Village of Newberry is 11:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M.
FYI: There will not be gas at Rainbow Lodge as they are closed due to the Duck Lake fire. There is a gas pump logo on the trail map, but they will be CLOSED.
