What a difference a week makes. Our base has gone from excellent to snirt and ice. Record warm temps the past few days have taken away a bunch of snow. The trail is still covered, however, until we can see the groomer out it will be mostly ice. We do have a good size system called for Sunday which may bring us some much needed snow. The seasonal roads and powerlines are your best bet if you feel the need to get out and ride this weekend. We decided to wait a day to let our sleds out again. I will update tomorrow if anything changes…. in the meantime….please…. do your best snow dance !

The weather is to warm to groom so the groomers have been parked for now. I just got back from checking the trail in a few places on the west side of the trail system. The trails are in fair shape right now, we have lost a lot of snow especially out in the open areas where there is some bare ground showing. There is still a lot of snow in the woods, the trails in my opinion are rideable but they are mostly ice. I’m sure that there is some bare spots on the trails and dirt roads will be down to dirt now, getting into towns will be difficult also. The south part of the trail system from M-186 south was getting pretty thin before the warm up, so the trails might be bare down that way. If you are into riding off trail on power lines and gas lines and wooded two tracks then there is decent snow snow. They are calling for colder temps for the next couple of days with a chance of snow. cheers Brett
