ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via North Country Snowmobile Club UP – 12/05
🚨 Ontonagon Trail Update! 🚨
Joe and Steve (Hamilton’s North Coast Adventures) are out on Trail 12, packing and brushing like pros! 💪 They’re working hard to fill in those pesky water holes so they can freeze up nicely. Things are starting to shape up, and while we’re looking at early season conditions, the trails are calling! 🛷
If you’re itching to ride, now’s the time to gear up and head out. Just remember to ride cautiously and enjoy the beauty of the season! ❄️

We had Josh back yesterday!!
He groomed Trail #137 from Ontonagon to Rockland.
Trail #13 from Trail #137 to Trail #101.
Trail #101 to Trail #12 at Potato Farm Road.
Trail #12 from P.F. Rd. to the clubhouse in Ontonagon.
He reported all trails in very good condition wit 12 plus inches of fresh powder!
Tractor Mac went into the Porkies and groomed Trail #1 from Trail #12 South of White Pine to Lake of the Clouds.
Trail 11 (South Boundary Road) from Trail #1 to Trail #102.
He reported all in very good condition with the exception of Trail #1 along the big lake, still thin.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Snow will continue today, with periods of moderate to heavy snowfall expected across portions of north-central and western Upper Michigan. Travel impacts abate tonight with lake effect snow becoming light into Sunday. By Sunday afternoon, a shot of widespread snow will be followed by strong winds and lake effect. The snow in this period will change to the kind that blows around really easily. LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Bergland Area Groomer's report for 1-16-26.
Light snow in the area all day with heavy snow closer to the Porkies. Temp's were pretty consistent around 24° and we're still under a winter storm warning..

We received 12in at 9am here at HNCA White Pine/Ontonagon location, with the heaviest snows said to fall today, yet! We have a sensational trail base and deep snow pack off trail! Even Ontonagon got hammered with fresh snow!! The riding season continues to improve with trails completely filling back in! Come up and ride!!
