Ontonagon Trail Report – Scott’s Superior Inn – 12/29

WE got 4-6″ of fresh snow, and they are calling for more the next few days, grooming every night, there are still a few wet spots, but most of the icy corners are gone.

The traffic looks pretty heavy for this weekend, but drops off dramatically by Monday. We still have lots of openings next week including lakefront chalets. STAY WHERE THE GROOMER LIVES!

Remember! if you got good snow by you we will have lots more and a lot less traffic

DECEMBER 17

WE got 12-18′ of snow on the ground, and we have started grooming, there are still a few wet spots to freeze up, but for the most part the trails are in pretty decent shape, Trail#12 going west out of Ontonagon has not been groomed completely cause a land owner still hasn’t opened his gate(right on edge of airport), suppose to do it this weekend, calling for heavy snow all weekend, and very cold temps. we have lots of openings in our resort including lakefront chalets that sleep up to 8, great time to come up.
