Paradise Area Trail Report – Paradise Area Night Riders – 01/05

January 5, 2017

7 degrees this morning and snowing. We picked up another 3 inches last night too. We are still under a lake effect warning untill tomorrow evening!! ‘They’ are calling for about another foot till then. Good news…bad news first…hmmmm….lets start with good.

Groomer Gerald ran the Falls trail #45 last night for the first time pulling a drag. He called me when he was done and reported it turned out in fair condition. Still alittle work to be done on this one but he got the water holes filled in again and panned out. He said its decent but just be careful….don`t go hauling butt down this trail just yet….or ever really….its a busy trail with everyone wanting to go to the Falls and the Pub out there. We didn`t run any other trails yesterday….I`ll explain next.

Now the bad…..sort of. We didn`t get the broken down groomer back UP yesterday. Everybody got busy yesterday digging out and we couldn`t get out to work on it till the afternoon. This is the reason we didn`t run any other trails also…..remember we are just a small group with other jobs and business to run. We are gonna get back at `er today and try to get it done. Not sure on the grooming schedule today either….sorry….we`ve been engrossed in gettin this groomer back UP. I do know we are trying to get back into the south swamp, hopefully tomorrow, if we can get this groomer back up. I also know we`ll have the trails in tip top shape for ya`s this weekend except maybe the south swamp. Dats it fer today. LET ER SNOW!!!!! Groomer Chris

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/05

Dress Warm but the blowing has stopped. Its going to be a chilly weekend but great conditions for riding.

We really have only had a couple inches in the past 24 hours but we are still under winter storm warning till tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t know if the foot is really going to fall but its good so far. At least so far the winds have stopped.

Quite a few riders thru Frederic already this morning but I just got here and its past noon.

We were open at 9 but our Thursday morning Century 21 office meetings always puts me in here late……

So on to get some goodies ordered to sell for this weekend, I think its going to be busy. Pic below is from yesterday, of a rider that stopped in and the second pic came in last night from Matt who is Hawaii at Hanamah Bay showing off his sledheads shirt. I have snorkeled that bay before and it sounds good but after the snow melts. Thanks for the pic Matt. Thanks for checking in. Pete — http://frederic-mi.com/dress-warm/
