Groomer Report:

Went south on trails 443 & 88. Trail conditions are fair. Still drifted quite a bit. Tried to widen the trail where I could. Lots of fluffy snow. Be very careful if you are planning on going off-trail. Deep fluff and will sink. Stumps and logs also covered so be safe out there guys.

Update…. As of Thursday evening we received word that we can start grooming. Groomers will be on the trails this weekend. Please watch out for icy spots and possibly icy corners as we do not have a snow packed base quite yet.

January 24, 2019

Well we received about 4″ of wet snow on Wed 1/23/19. Groomers are still parked waiting for a decent base to be packed down. We are supposed to get more LE snow this afternoon/evening on top. I haven’t been out, but there should be sufficient snow on the trails as there are lots of tracks in Cadillac west.. Ride safe, ride right and ride sober, your friends and community deserve it.

To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below:

33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery

Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13.
