Sidnaw / Bruce Crossing Trail Report – Sno Valley Riders Snowmobile Club – 03/05

Groomer Report;

We are grooming every day. The trails are back in order after the blizzard last weekend.

There is up to 48″ of snow in places! Maybe more in some drifts!

Please DO NOT climb the “Military Hill” from the highway, US 45, to the fence, we have ongoing erosion issues there and the hill climbers are adding to the problem. YOU COULD CAUSE THIS MAJOR TRAIL TO BE CLOSED IF YOU CONTINUE!

Watch for the groomers, they take up most of the trail and have the right of way!

Please pull over and DIM your lights for them, they have a long night out there.

Remember, you can get off the trail, the groomer can not.

Please ride on right side of the trail, STOP at the stop signs and treat the YEILD signs appropriately.

Trail #3 North to Rockland is EXCELLENT on the south end and EXCELLENT on the north end.

Trail #8 from Ewen to trail #3 North is EXCELLENT.

Trail #3/8 East from Bruce Crossing to the trail #3 South intersection is VERY GOOD.

Trail #3/8 West from Bruce Crossing to the trail #3 North intersection is VERY GOOD.

Trail #3 South from the railroad grade to the CC road is EXCELLENT.

Trail #8 from the trail #3 South intersection to Trout Creek is EXCELLENT.

Trail #8 from Trout Creek to Kenton is EXCELLENT.

Trail #8 from Kenton to Sidnaw is EXCELLENT.

Trail #8/15 from Sidnaw to the trail #109 intersection is EXCELLENT.

Have a fun and safe trip, thank you for riding our trails and visiting our local businesses!

Paradise Area Trail Report – 03/05

March 5, 2019

3 degrees this morning under a partly sunny sky. Been pretty cold UP here the last few days which really helps out the trails. Sorry, didn`t realize its been a few days since my last report but nothing has really changed.

All trails are in excellent shape. I see we are supposed to start warming UP some starting this weekend. I promise to keep you all informed as the weather starts to warm up so you can plan your last ride of the season. Lets hope it doesn`t get too crazy so we can ride thru this month.

Yesterday we parked all the machines and had a maintenance day. We needed to change oils and take care of about a dozen little things. We do this all ourselves to save time and money and make sure everything is up to par. Groomers Mike, Kevin, Dave M., Scott, Gerald, Jack, Glenn and his wife Sherry and myself all showed up to help. We got everything done that we wanted. Sure does help with that many people showing up!!!!! THANKS EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we are back on the trails. The Point trails, Falls and South trail #8 will get run. We are debating to hit the Stump trail today or tomorrow. Either way all trails will get run tomorrow also. We want all trails smooth as glass so when/if it warms up we WILL have the best trails in da UP!!!!

All for today. Keep checking back and I`ll keep you informed…..as always.

Groomer Chris
