Ride right and ride safe! <> <> MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 02/07 Last night was a fun night with a little training, some drifting, and a murder burger from the Throttle in Little Lake! Lots of drifting on the east end last night and this morning. Good results grooming the entire length of the trail. Groomer will be out on the trail soon to clean up the drifts and make another run! General maintenance today went well with some of our operators getting involved and one of our new operators took the pole saw for a workout along Finn Spur, where the height of the snow and the tractor was putting us up in the canopy of the trees. It’s the little things that help out in the biggest ways. You don’t even have to be an operator to contribute! There is the potential for significant snow, sleet and freezing rain (ice) accumulations. The combination of ice on trees/powerlines and wind could result in power outages. By tomorrow, the wintry precipitation will become more confined to the north, while showers and thunderstorms sneak into the southern counties. A few of these storms could even become strong at times with large hail. After warm and dry days Sunday and Monday, incoming rainfall is expected by late Monday afternoon. High temperatures will top off in the 40s and 50s by Sunday and Monday. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Short run today to make sure our east end is smooth and conditions couldn’t be better. Possibly making one more full run before the end of season to make sure we are right on track to finish the season out. Reports have been coming in that the trail is pretty smooth. Grooming will end, but the entire trail will be open through the 31st. Private land closes across the state on the 1st of April, so feel free to keep riding, but please respect private property as land use permits do not allow clubs to keep the trail open.
