CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort >> 03/06
Season winding down
Trail Conditions: Poor
Rode in our area Wednesday to check things out. Trails still had a decent base intact, but it was quite icy. All county roads and access roads are dirt/pavement, making it difficult to get to the trails. We don’t expect Groomers to go out anymore this season, even if we get a late snow. * Last week I went to a state Groomer Workshop in Sault Ste. Marie with a couple other drivers. Unfortunately we found out that the groomer grant program with the state is in bad financial condition. Trail permit prices will likely be going up next season, but that won’t be enough to get tractors updated as needed. Please be generous to your groomer clubs in the state, as this is often a thankless job, most of which are volunteers. Cadillac Winter Promotions will be making it easier to join and donate in the upcoming months, so please look for updates on this trail report or the CWP Facebook page. *
We were really grateful for all the good snow in our area in December- February, and look forward to more snowy seasons ahead!
