Gaylord Area Trail Report – 02/24
Gaylord Bureau – February 24, 2025 1:30 p.m. As you may know, both of our groomers are currently out for repairs. Our neighboring communities have been able to lend a hand and several of our trails were groomed last week. Thank you to our grooming friends in Lewiston, Grayling and Indian River for getting us ready for last weekend! After a brief warm up and lots of visitors over the weekend, conditions may be quite rough. We’ll update you with any other grooming taking place once we are aware. Please give a big wave to these groomers if you see them out and about! They are going above and beyond to help our their snowmobiling friends and the Gaylord community. We extend a sincere thank you to them for their efforts! Keep in mind, our trails are in poor to fair shape and will likely get bumpier. We will keep you updated on the status of our groomers and let you know once grooming resumes. Ride safe and stay tuned for updates! Check out this live feed to see trail #7, just north of Gaylord. A few things to remember about our groomers and trails: – Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way. Want to be ready? Get a free trail map delivered right to your mailbox and plan your adventure! As always, check back with us for updates and weather reports. <> http://www.gaylordmichigan.net/snowmobile-trail-report-114/ <> Can’t I ever be happy? First its no snow, I want to ride, then we have snow and then to much snow, to much plowing, then more snow, great trails, then broke groomers. Now today its sunny and 43 degrees. Just no happy spot. From one extreme to the other. Snow to deep to ride in or easy to get stuck. Weather forcast for this next few days seems to warm so time will tell what the next step is going to be. On the bright side I had a great 60 mile ride to Lovells in yesterday and we found plenty of 2 plus feet fields of untouched snow. Got stuck a couple times and I fell off twice too. While its no fun getting unstuck it was a great ride and way to end up a sunday evening. Time will tell what this week brings us.Thanks for checking in and please ride safely.
