Newberry Trail Report – 01/04

There has only been one signifacant snow fall so far this year, and we need more snow..

We do not groom in the village, and the curfew in the village is 11 P.M. to 7 A.M.

Trai l#9 to Pine Stump has been groomed. There is dirt mixing with the snow especially North of the Seney cut off. A lot of corners are now more dirt than snow. The trail is in fair to good condition

Trail #45 to Tahq. Falls has been groomed, although there are a few Icy patches on the straight a way to the falls. The trail is in fair to good shape.

Trail #9/2 to Epoufette & Trout Lake is in fair to good shape down to Rexton where the snow gets thin.

THE NORTH STORE ON CO. RD. 407,WILL BE OPEN THIS YEAR.

The curfew for the Village of Newberry is 11:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M.

FYI: There will not be gas at Rainbow Lodge as they are closed due to the Duck Lake fire. There is a gas pump logo on the trail map, but they will be CLOSED.

Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 01/04

I am tempted to say the trail conditions are excellent, but since I personally have not rode since New Years Day I am hesitant to give it the excellent rating. I know the trails are in great shape though… and this is why: we have had riders that checked in Wed. Originally for one day. Each day they return and report they are staying another day because the riding has been awesome. This is not just a few rooms, we had only two empty rooms last night!

There are not that many riders, the groomers are on top of it which all makes for a fantastic time to ride Gaylord trails.

We normally have a two night minimum on the weekend but because so many are staying another night we are full tonight (Friday) but have several openings for tomorrow/Saturday night. Here’s your opportunity if you just want the one night. Give us a call at 989-732-2703 or 989-732-4914.
