Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 01/25

Lake effect snow has been hitting the area most of the week. I did talk to a few riders who were out yesterday. They told me the trail was pretty much completely snow covered.

Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – January 24

The snowbanks are piled high at Blue Sky Rentals in the back parking lot at Peegeo’s.

Some of the corners were pretty icy but for the most part the trails were in great shape. The groomers have been out trying to groom the best they can until we get more snow. The good news is we are up and running again, there is snow falling and more snow in the forecast.

Please be aware that the groomers are out and working hard for us to use the trails. Give them a thumbs up as they are all volunteers!

Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 01/25

We received about 2″ of new snow over night and more snow is in the forecast for today. Temps are in the teens for today and warming up into the 20’s for the weekend. Looks like a great weekend to get out and do some riding.

The Gogebic Range Trail Authority report the groomers are out. Trail 2, 8 and 160 are all groomed. Conditions are looking good. Expect some ice on corners and hills. All wet areas are now frozen. Trail 11N and 11S still have not been groomed. Please use caution corners are icy.

The Lake Gogebic groomers report: Groomers have been out all week. Trails are in good shape all snow covered and ready for you to ride. We have snow in the forecast for the several days with temps in the teens and 20’s.

The Watersmeet groomers finally went out. All trails are rolled and are in fair condition. Please use cautions corners are icy. Trail 3 south to Land O Lakes the snow is thin but rideable.

Keep in mind groomers can be out day or night so watch out for them and please pull over or slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by.

Please be careful on corners as you know several Michigan Trail signs have been discontinued. These signs are posted on our trail map. PLEASE BE SAFE!!!!
