Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 12/14

We’ve had a little more fresh snow in the past 24-anywhere from 1 – 5 inches or so depending where it’s measured across the county.
Groomers from the Gogebic Range Trail Authority, Gogebic Area Grooming and Watersmeet are all on their regular schedules, working on the trails. Conditions are improving but are still in the "early season" category as there’s still a lot of wet areas. 11N and 11S haven’t been able to even be "rolled" yet. Cold temps are starting to freeze things up
Keep in mind, although MI trails open as of December 1st, they may or may not be groomed. WI Trails are now officially open.
Check out web cams throughout the area to see the snow amounts for yourself. Find links on our website at westernup.info

Ontonagon Trail Report – Scott’s Superior Inn – 12/13

We’ve finally got a break from the snow, so far since 12-1 we’ve received over 70" of snow. And we are grooming, but at this point we are still just trying to get a good base, before we start cutting. We are suppose to get our other groomer back Tues. so that will make things easier. They are calling for more snow all week, so we should be in good shape soon.

If you are still looking for lodging, give Scott’s Superior Inn a call, we still have plenty of openings in our motel rooms, suites, and cabins. Check out our web site for more info.
