Coyote Crossing Resort – 2/27
Pete’s Trail Report:
Fresh snow has made the trails very good again! Things are still a little icy on plowed roads, but the trails are smooth and very fast right now. Julie and I rode yesterday from Coyote towards Wellston and down to Irons — the conditions were excellent!! Temps are bitter cold and local schools are off today. Bundle up and come up to enjoy one of the best winters in recent years! We got another 4′ overnight and more is expected into the weekend. I drove the groomer yesterday and there’s still plenty of base on all trails. … Pete

February 18, 2018 – The trails were frosted with a 6 inch layer of fluffy new snow over the last 24 hours. It just keeps getting better around here. Forecast looks pretty good except for Thursday when we could have some rain and freezing going on. We’re doing our best to keep the trails in great shape. It’s been rough on the equipment as it has been going non-stop all season. No such thing as a January thaw this year. The last couple of weeks we have had all kinds of repairs to deal with. Right now I believe all wheels and tracks are on the ground and happy but that can change in an instant.
Enjoy your ride. This time of year we don’t know how many more we will have.
February 13, 2014 – Trail conditions are holding up great–still Good to Excellent–mostly excellent. Could pick up a little snow overnight and temps are expected to remain below freezing for the weekend so those lucky enough to have a long weekend for riding will have an awesome time. Ride safely and have fun!

We have wind chill advisory in effect until 11a.m. today. We are back to our deep freeze. Our temps through this weekend will be in the single digits for the highs and below zero for our lows. Things are looking up next week our temps will be in the double digits, towards the end of next week temps will be in the 20’s. With all our new snow and cold temps our trails have a great base. Overall all trails are in great shape.
The Gogebic Range Trail Authority – Groomers are not going out today it is just too cold with the wind chill. Trails may have some drifting snow on them so use caution. We have gotten word from the DNR trail 11S will be closed due to logging this winter.
