Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 03/02 – UPDATED

Wednesday 1pm Update – We got about six inches of fresh snow yesterday and last night. Just came home from town and I solemnly swear that trail 7 from Ray’s Retreat into town was all white. No dirt showing. It has been groomed. Sleds were moving along at a good clip. Conditions are good. If you want to ride this is going to be it… next week temps are warming.. much warmer….

Tuesday 5pm Update – Just had a rider stop in….. he reads our reports and wanted to let us know he’s been out riding most of the day, and its been great! We have gotten at least 3 inches of new snow, and now they are saying 3-6 inches expected and more tomorrow.

Trail looks like it might have been groomed. Looked good all into town. Its cold.. and staying cold until the end of the weekend. Starting to snow now, 1-3 inches is what they are saying. If you are wanting to ride I am thinking this week may be the last chance. Next week is showing warm temps everyday.
I took a picture of the trail and posted it on Rays Retreat Country Inn’s facebook page.

Cadillac Area Trail Report – Visit Cadillac – 03/01

Cadillac received about 6 inches of new snow on Tuesday, March 1. The new snow should help get trails up to fair with some good areas. Look for updates soon.

Conditions: Poor

Just received a call from our Trail Coordinator reporting that after the warm-up and rain this weekend, the trails are either ice or bare. It’s going to take a major snowfall to get them ready for riding again. Hope this isn’t the end of the riding season but it very well could be.

Grooming has been suspended due to warm temperatures.
