KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 12/11
How many of you ride with family or little ones at times? (Share a photo!) Joe and his 5 year old daughter 🥰 Harper have been out riding The Bill Nichols Trail and said that it was great heading out of South Range and even better out of Toivola where The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club has previously groomed! Others that have been out scratching the itch have reported the same! It appears the weather might start cooperating a bit next week! 🤞 Snow is in the forecast just about each day in the 10 day long range forecast, starting the middle of the week! The temps start dropping each day also! 🥶

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort >> Please when behind a groomer wait for them to flash lights for you to pass, this is for everyone’s safety. When approaching a groomer try to pull off to the side as far as you or ride as far off to the side as safe as you can. Please stay on your side of the trail, even more so try not to cross over onto freshly groomed trails. The longer it sets the better riding it is for you & others. Ride Right. Ride Safely. Yea….yea…..I`m still here! I finally decided to get off my slacker couch and give ya`ll an update……so here we go!!!! We have just a few inches of snow on the ground and the temps have been on the cool side, but just not cold enough yet. The ground isn`t close to being froze yet, which is the usual for this time of year. We really need the ground to freeze and get a few more inches of snow on the ground before we even think about getting the groomers out. Looking at the extended forecast it looks like we might get some more snow next week.
Speaking of the grooming machines, I have important info for ya`s. If ya`ll remember, we had some problems last season with a couple of tires breaking off. It shut down the machine for a couple of weeks while we were waiting on parts, which in turn hurt the trail conditions as we had only 2 machines runnin and we had to almost run them around the clock to try and keep up! Well……we have been VERY busy the last couple of weeks to rectify this problem! We tore the chassis completely down on them and replaced ALL the bearings and spindles so all the running gear is brand new!!!! That should fix it!!!! We also had the factory mechanics come out and change and flush ALL hydralic fluids!! SOOOO……the machines are ready to ROCK, just need Mother Nature to cooperate now.
I`ll be on here more often now giving my famous NO BS trail reports as soon as Mother Nature lets me.
Keep checking back LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Groomer Chris

PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 1/30/26 Minus 5 degrees this morning under a cloudy sky. No new snow in the last 24 hrs. but we do have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so no worries...LOL. Here`s whats been happening since my last report a couple days ago...... No bad news...the machines have been running beautifully....Mother Nature has been cooperating perfectly....and our trails are EXCELLENT!!!! The Falls trail #45, the Point trails #452 & #453 and the South trail #8 all fall into that catagory. The only blip on the radar is on the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 but it is only minor. Our section of trail #9 is still being plowed down from the Stump to the East branch of the Two Heart by the loggers. It is no big deal, just take trail #8 around instead of #9, just like the old days. Its a touch longer but you`re out there to enjoy the ride.....right? On the bright side, they are done up by Crisp Point but it will take us a couple trips to get that back in great shape. Where is everybody?? Its been awful slow around here. COME ON U.P., You are missing out!! LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Groomer Chris #paradise #newberry ... See MoreSee Less
