IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 01/20
These are some photos from 160 yesterday morning. Lot’s if snow hanging on the trees. Came across some wet spots but there all filled in. After 15 hours grooming this trail is in pretty good shape and it was snowing hard in the powers areas last night with white outs from time to time.
Trail 8 was done last night, again coming across some wet spots from all the rain. Trail 11 South had lots of snow for beautiful riding. Ride right, stay on the trail, Stop at all Stop signs 🛑. Please stay on the trail even when riding in farm fields because there’s wire fencing laying on the ground.

Groomer Gary is out grooming the west run which is trail 2 and 13s. Groomer Jeff is grooming trail 3 Land o Lakes to Bonds Falls and trail 2 east. Please ride the West side before the highway cross over with caution as the recovery equipment left some snow piles and rough trail areas. There are logging operations happening about two miles west of Kenton, use caution.
We are grooming our regular schedule, every day.
The trails are excellent.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #westernup
