Newberry Trail Report – Visit Newberry – 01/19

January 19, 2011 11:00 A.M.

Trails are in good condition. Stan and Joe are headed to Pine Stump. Trail #9 is in good condition. Bert groomed up to Seney cut off last night.

Trail #45 to the Falls is in good condition. Thank you to Paradise groomers for there help getting from the falls to County Rd. 500, they reported no water holes.

Trail #2/9 to Trout Lake and Eppoufette is thin in spots, but in good condition over all. Groomer Doug reported the trail is in good condition. Joe is headed to to Rexton / Trout Lake. Be careful on the corners as they may be icy.

Snow is expected today with up to 6" by Friday. There is blowing and drifting. The wind chill for tonight is for 20 below.

There is logging on Trail #45 North of Skyline Dr. for 4 to 5 miles. There is also logging South of M-123 on Trail #45.

Logging on Trail #498 North of Co. Rd. 455, be careful in these areas, as the trail may be plowed.

It has come to my attention that there is no fuel symbol on the snowmobile trail map for the North Store. The North Store is located at Wolf Inn Jct. They are open from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M.

We need more snow! And cold weather.

The cerfew for the Village of Newberry is 11:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M.

FYI: There will not be gas at Rainbow Lodge this year as they are closing for the winter. There is a gas pump logo on the trail map, but they will be CLOSED. The map is new for this year, and I recieved the information about Rainbow Lodge after the maps went to the printer.

Gaylord Area Trail Report – VisitGaylord.com – 01/18

Ray’s Retreat – January 17
When we headed back out the snow was really coming down thick and heavy. Visibility was very limited. It then became difficult to determine in some areas where the trail actually was… everything was virgin white.

Tuesday Morning Snow and Trail Report….
by Heart Lake Resort on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 9:46am

Nothing has change from my last two reports in regards to trail conditions but we are just now (9:38 am) starting to get some snow. They are calling for it and it looks like this is the start of it. It was a bit warm yesterday, almost 32 degrees, but only for a short time during the day – the night temp was below freezing. It is now exactly 29.3 degrees here at Heart Lake Resort in Gaylord and the temps are slowly dropping. If we get this snow and then even more lake effect as forecasted, we could have 2 to 5 inches when it’s said and done – more would be nice! Not real specific I realize on amount, but I like seeing it on the ground before I report on it. Folks are still up here riding and this new snow will certainly make things better. As always, please feel free to give me a call if you need additional information and if you would, please share this report with your friends and have them ‘like us’ on Facebook. Thanks.
