Today is a repeat of yesterday–excellent trail conditions await on both the railroad grade and the woods. The temperature is a comfortable 26-ish degrees and we should end up around 30-32. The weekend will bring some sun and temps around 36, which will make for true ‘spring riding’. Remember, we have a very thick ice base so one or two soft days aren’t going to disinegrate the trails as in seasons past…Ride on!

It’s Friday here in Copper Country and the trails are in the best conditions they have been in all year! There is still time and still snow so come on up!
The snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open. Thegroomers are out and the trails are in very good condition. Remember to watch out for the groomers and deer when you’re out on the trails…..they have the right of way!!
There is some logging starting today on 122 and a portion of the trail will be closed. There is a re-route that is all signed.
The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the snowmobile trails are there for the riders’ safety. Please, DO NOT remove or destroy these signs.
Please be aware that if you snowmobile on U.S. Coast Guard property you could face federal trespass charges.
