Cadillac Area Trail Report – Cadillac Trails – 11/29

November 29, 2013

Trails open in two more days–Sunday December 1. The snow on our system at this time is marginal. We have 5-6 inches in the Cadillac West and Boon areas with no base. The snow is packy and the ground had a chance to freeze up some before the snow arrived.

It’s doubtful there is enough snow on the White Pine Trail yet for riding. Remember the State Park folks have asked we not ride on the White Pine Trail until there is at least 4 inches of snow. There is no great amount of snow expected between now and Sunday. Hang in there. We are off to a good start.

To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below:

Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery

Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13.
