Indian River Trail Report – 01/28

Light traffic yesterday, beyond-cold temperatures and fresh grooming last night make for ideal trail conditions again today. There’s just so much snow out there! Conversation today is still about the cold weather. We’re still under the wind-chill advisory for one more day. The sky is clearing and we may reach 8 degrees today. That’s going to feel pretty warm considering yesterday we only got up to 1 degree. The cold is taking it’s toll on wildlife too. Our groomer Joe found a young deer frozen on the side of the trail yesterday. Mother Nature can be a tough one. Snow is forecasted at 100% chance the next two days. The snow clouds will help raise the temps to the teens tomorrow (if we’re lucky). Tonight is the groomers’ ‘night off’ but we expect trail conditions to hold as excellent. Trails are rock-solid smooth and there aren’t many riders out (yet).

Base: 10 inches

Snowfall Past 24 hours: 0 inches

Last Grooming: Monday night, 1-27-14

Current Trail Conditions: Excellent
