Trail report 2/19/16

Good afternoon due to the warm weather we are going to be experiencing the next few days our groomers will not be out and operating. I am going to have to say all of are trails will be in fair to possibly even poor condition by the end of the weekend depending on how much rain we get and how warm it really gets.

I will have an updated trail report Monday morning but for now think snow and pray for cold weather.

There is logging going on near the railroad tracks on trail 8 so please ride with caution and be aware of logging trucks

Conditions: Good

The trails have been holding up nicely so far with minimal new snow. We holding our breath over today’s forecast calling for 36 to 48 degrees and rain later. We missed the ice and snow called for overnight–now if we could only miss the rain this afternoon and/or evening. Temps this weekend could be in the high 30’s/low 40’s each day with a chance of rain…not snowmobile friendly.

To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below:

33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)

Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery

Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13.
