Benzie Visitor Bureau – 01/29

Hi again! Still not great news but a little bit of good. We have received a couple inches of snow over night and this morning but that’s it. Now the wind is whipping around. So same as before, not enough for groomers to do much but they are going to get out and try to repair the trails as best they can before tomorrow’s Congressional Ride. Lots of dirt and ice out there. The Congressional Ride IS still on for tomorrow, Friday the 30th. Congressman Dan Benishek and Bill Huizenga will ride from Wellston to the snowbirds clubhouse for a luncheon and meet and greet from 12:00 and departing Kaleva at 1:30. Stopping at Genos in Thompsonville at 3:00 for an open to all town hall meeting, please feel free to stop in to either location! Ride will end in Beulah at 5:00 pm. Let’s hope for more snow! Remember IF you ARE out there over the weekend, that the Benzie Manistee Snowbirds Clubhouse has an OPEN HOUSE every Saturday thru January & February! Stop in at 14121 Industrial Drive in Kaleva. Fun conversation, free warm-up coffee or hot-coco & a snack provided by the club! OK! So till next time keep up the snow dance and hopefully soon I can say SEEYA on the trails baby!
