SAULT STE. MARIE UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association – Temps in the teens and light snow is falling. We need snow badly after that warm up last week especially on our southern trails. Trail 8 in great shape and Paradise made it thru the swamp to connect to us.

Groomers running on a daily basis on 8. Trails are icy with not a whole lot of base.

We have been grooming a five mile section of theirs until they could get to it.

The brief warm up did not hurt us up here, it did rain for about an hour, but quickly turned to snow and we got back 4-6″ of fresh snow.

Only problem we’ve had is the amount of sleds, hard to keep trails flat, but we are grooming every night in all directions, some operators doing dbl. shifts. Check out www.groomertracker.com , can get groomer locations at any given minute, very cool!

PLEASE! PLEASE! Stay on trails unless you know its legal to go off, have had several complaints from property owners threatening to pull trail from their land.
