Cadillac Area Trail Report – 02/16

Sorry for the long delay in updates. I just returned from a snowmobile vacation of my own. Amazing!!!!!

Happy to tell you the trails in our system are amazing as well. We’ve had some mechanical problems with a couple of groomers in the days and weeks past but that is all behind us now and all groomers have been running their regular routes. Trails remain in very good to excellent condition throughout the system with an ice base to maintain the 6-8 inch snow-packed base. Watch it in the corners as the ice can catch you when you least expect it.

There are lots of sledders out this weekend so watch out for them and yourself so everyone can ride another day.

Snow accumulation: 15-24 inches plus an icy base

REMEMBER there are fewer signs in the woods this winter so when you finally do get a chance to ride, take your time and enjoy the ride. The need for speed may be costly to you and to others. Assume every trail is a winding trail and be ready for the next curve.

A reminder to those who enjoy riding the White Pine Trail, State Park officials have asked snowmobilers to ‘refrain from operating snowmobiles when less than four inches of snow cover the trail.’

Cadillac Area Trail Report – Cadillac Trails – 02/10

Just what we needed–more ice. It started sleeting this afternoon and we’re told it may continue throughout the night making for some slippery conditions in the morning. The forecast for the upcoming week is for mild temperatures and occasional light snow showers.

The next update will be Friday, February 15. Sorry for the inconvenience.
