Cadillac Area Trail Report – Cadillac Trails – 02/11

February 11, 2015 – Conditions: Fair to Good – These pictures were taken during yesterdays groom on Trail 37 between mile marker 21 and 23–the northern section of our system. That section remains in beautiful shape as the pictures attest.

The mid-section, southern section and White Pine Trial remain in fair to good condition. The snow is thin in areas, snirty in others but the forest roads are great. There are areas on Pole Road that are down to bare dirt. It started snowing this afternoon and we have picked up a couple inches so far.

Sadly, we did not get any snow overnight last night as was predicted. If you are staying in town this weekend, you might want to use the southern route to access the trails or plan on using our Staging Areas. See the Staging Area page of this web site for locations. Our groomers are still running their regular routes daily.

Cadillac Area Trail Report – 02/08

February 8, 2015 – Conditions: Fair to Good – We’re out there grooming every day on our regular schedule. The majority of our system will give you some great riding. You’ll find some snirt along the way in areas where the trail is narrow and in heavily wooded areas where the snow is thinner.

One of our groomers checked the snow depth in the woods north of Boon yesterday and found we averaged 18 inches. The base in that area runs from 6-9 inches. Another groomer measured the base in the mid-section of our system and found an average 6 inch base. We heard lots of positive comments about our trail system and conditions this weekend during the NASF. We always like to hear that. There is plenty of good riding for those who venture out.
