Trail 2 from Wakefield to Marenisco grooming is on going and the trail is in good to very good condition. 11N was freshly groomed this morning and conditions again are good to very good. Trail 8 is freshly groomed with groomers going back out tomorrow and conditions are good to very good. Trail 11s will be groomed tonight conditions are good to very good. There is a portion on 11s where they are logging so watch for logging trucks they do have the right of way. Signs are posted. 160 grooming is on going conditions are good to very good – Just a heads up – take in the scenery from the lookouts. Signs posted, don’t pass these by… Again there is logging at the end of the trail by the WI. boarder so watch for logging trucks. Corners are icy so use caution!!!

Lake Gogebic Area groomers are double grooming daily. With all the new snow they received, the trails are in good to very good condition. However, some corners are icy, so use caution.

Watersmeet Area groomers are also grooming daily. They are reporting all trails are in good to very good condition. Agian corneres are icy.

ABOUT THE ICE:
It’s time for our usual caution. There is no such thing as "safe ice" due to underwater currents. If you plan to go out, be sure you talk to locals where you intend to ride for more information about the ice depth and other factors…be aware you will be riding at your own risk.

Our 800# is down so when calling you will not get a recording. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!!! Check back for updates and check out our webcams around the area at westernup.info ….

PHOTO REQUEST from us. If you have any neat snomo pictures you’re willing to share,we’re looking for a cover shot for next years map and other marketing uses. Can’t pay but will give a photo credit on inside of map. Send in jpg-300dpi-to bigsnow@westernup.info. Be aware anything you send will become the property of the WUPCVB so this request is more for amateur photographers…in other words, don’t send anything you may want to sell in the future. We appreciate any help on this.
