Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/18
It’s very icy and hard here in Frederic this Wednesday morning at 33 degrees.
Back roads are very slick. Pictures below were the trail crossings up by the high school this morning and the sleds were just going to the gas station as I pulled into town here.
The trail along M 93 out by hanson hills surprised me as the rest of the crossings I looked at that there is still a lot of white and covered trails. I have seen way worse than this but then again the week isn’t over yet. My parking lot here is a skating rink and tough to walk on. I will be here all day and it will be interesting to see if any sleds ride into here. The sleds that I saw as I came into town just rode by heading north. In the past few weeks I have seen many riders stopped at my WTF sign across the street getting their pictures with it because they must love my Welcome To Frederic sign.
Well guess what, I had a call yesterday and the township board wants me to take it down…. you know last week when I put the picture of the guy that claimed to be Obama up. He was a pretty happy go lucky guy and as he was leaving he said “I don’t know why everybody doesn’t just chill out and be cool and not worry about the politically correct things”
He left and was just having a good time, just like everyone stopping at my Welcome to Frederic sign. Well it looks like I am going to take it down today……but as luck would have it my friend Scotty Bobby made this great drone video clip this weekend of it.
