Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 03/08

We are heading for 60 again, its 46 this morning in Frederic and yesterday I saw 61 at one point. Things are melting very fast and there is a lot of water.

This morning Lake Margrethe was very wet on top. Below is a picture my daughter Haley took yesterday morning and last night. It was a nice sunset. I even saw a motorcycle riding thru Grayling this morning so it appears spring is on its way. I was hoping to go up to the u.p. to ride today but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.

Yesterday TV 7 & 4 stopped by Sledheads to talk to me about the snowmobile deaths this year. There was another death in Alpena this Saturday or sunday where a lady hit a deer on her sled. Here is a link to the news story and video that they ran on the news TV 7 & 4 story on snowmobile deaths Thanks for checking in. Pete…..

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 03/07

Short and not sweet enough would just about describe our winter season this year.

It seemed like we just got going well and whamo we are all done. Its sunny and 43 degrees already this morning and weather said 60 for tommorow.

This is where I guess I throw in the towel on winter and send out a big Thank You to all of you that stopped by Sledheads this short winter and to the many of you that are daily readers that havent had the chance to make it here or are to far away. There were several regulars that I never saw this winter. Hopefully next winter will be a 16 week long one insteand of a 5 or 6 week long one.

I will start to cut back on daily updates and try to get one on at least every couple weeks during the summer…..
