It’s been a quiet and calm morning in Frederic, almost 1 oclock already, been plowing this morning getting things cleaned up, no new snow overnight and it was nice and cold which is good.

Trail reports from yesterday were still the same with both good and bad spots but overall riders were happy.

We still need more snow to get things back up to where they need to be.

Pretty thin out there snow wise, no accumulation yesterday or overnight.

There were riders out and about yesterday. Gaylord groomer was out on trail again last night, we just plain need way more snow. Its 28 this morning and light snow in the air.

Motels in town were slow with trailers with 4 at Motel 72, my cottage is empty this weekend and 2 at the Days Inn and 6 at the Ramada.

There are 2 trailers out back and one of them came up from Kzoo. Hey Patty, how do you like the name on the one trailer? The State Police are out on the train today. They have 2 engines together and I talked to the engineer in grayling today as he was waiting for troopers to get there.

They are patrolling between Grayling and Gaylord and they will get you if you are on the tracks. At least they picked a slow weekend to do this. They just went thru Frederic moving along good so they must be going north and going to work their way back south. I had a note a week or so ago from a guy that used to work on the railroad and he said they called it trooper on a train. They have the big MSP decal stuck on the engine. Thanks for checking in.
