Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 01/21

I have a dream……Lets Ride, but who is up for it this morning. Another nite of not a flake of new snow but the snow is very crunchy when you walk on it as it was minus 29 earlier this morning and is now all the way up to minus 11.

It’s MLK day and ten a.m. I have been here a bit and the first person of the day just came in and she was a cross country skier that bought some mr hots to put in her gloves. She must want to ski awful badly. Only 3 trailers between the two motels on the south end of grayling this morning.

A few sleds and several people on their way back from the U>P> stopped in here yesterday. Snow is predicted for the next few days and which would be really nice if it really happened. I don’t expect much to happen today but I am here. Several pics below today. Dan stopped by with his drone yesterday and took some pics up high of my building and of Frederic so those are nice to see but it would have been nice to see sleds in Frederic when he took the pics, and then the really good pics of real snow came from a friend who sent them from up on the Kingston Plains in the u.p.

Now that is some real snow. On the down side of the winter fun, 3 more deaths in the U.P. this weekend including a head on collision on Lake Gogebic that killed two. Please Ride Safely and Thanks for checking in. Pete
