Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/06

Still no new snow. Supposed to be a little tommorow….Not sounding promising to me. Riders are out but light and like a broked record I keep saying its going to be like the past two weekends…….Only time will tell what will happen. Will people still keep saying riding is better than they thought it would be. Trail 7 to Gaylord looks snow covered and smooth all the way up when I drove up there late yesterday afternoon.. Only 2 sleds in here so far today and its just past noon. I didnt get here till 10 30 today as we had our bi weekly real estate meeting. One new thing on the real estate front is that we now have four office after just picking up the Gaylord office along with Grayling, HIggins & Houghton Lakes offices…….

Also just had another visit from the Mountain man….check out his outfit today…..He is something else…..Thanks for checking in and do some snow chanting as we need it BAD…..

If you are looking for a cabin up by Atlanta here is a link to the unfinished chalet I just listed up there .  Chalet on 10 acres for sale in Atlanta

Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/06

Still waiting on snow, a nice chilly 7 degrees overnight and gonna be sunny today. Several riders told me yesterday that riding was way better than they expected along with a few groomer sightings. With the cold overnight maybe things froze up hard and made it a no lube situation. I dont know for sure but in my opinion its still hard and icy but I havent actually been on them to know for sure. All I do know is the people I talked to yesterday were very happy.

This will be the third weekend in a row with just about the same conditions as the past 2 weekends so my guess is there will be sleds out but still not like MLK weekend….so its kind of blah, blah, blah, everyday the same story…….

I have had several people ask about the mountain man and I keep forgetting to write about him. He was by a couple months ago for the first time in several months and then lo and behold he shows up here this morning. When he walked in the air quality suddenly goes down. He is still camped out and I have to say he is a tough dude. I took a couple pics of him this morning but dont be scared as he is a nice guy but he defintely makes you think when you see him. He was talking about the mountain lion he traced in the snow. Thats it for today. Thanks for checking in. Pete
