Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 02/03
Coming at you this morning from Strongs at the Clarke Motel. Another one of my favorite places. Snow is way better here in Frederic but still weak for the u.p. Got here yesterday afternoon and took a short 40 mile round trip ride to Hulbert and watched the deer there. It’s a chilly 8 degrees this morning so I will wait a bit till I head out. Heading toward Raco and Brimley for todays ride. Pics below are all from last night. The snow depth guage at the Chippewa Snow Chasers groomer barn is a sad indicator of what this winter has been. I did see 2 of their groomers out on the trails last night. Also in the pics below look at the track cleats and clips on that groomer, that is what I call heavy duty. It looks like the snow is going to start hitting us on thursday in Frederic so maybe we will actually get some snow for this coming weekend. Mo Mo Nah Chee Chee Nah……Riding here out of the motel is a great starting spot in the u.p. as its only about 50 minutes past the bridge.
