FREDERIC – GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> 12/30
Bridge Run with Big John and his crew. What a beautiful morning to run to Mackinaw and lunch at the Key Hole. 18 degrees in Frederic and the winds and snow have slowed up and roads and trails look good. So I am closed today, find me on the trail to the bridge. Still not many riders around but I expect it to start getting busier tommorow. All pics below were over at the swamp yesterday (monday). Thanks for checking in and please ride safely. For those of you that need trail permits the gas station next to Frederic Inn has permits. Will try to do live video somewhere on trip along with a stop at Sledview.com camera. Pete

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Lake effect snow continues through Thursday, with widespread accumulations of 2 to 4 inches across northwest Lower and near/around Whitefish Point. Localized totals near 6 inches are possible. Started out riding to Frederic from home and then to Starvation Lake, Alba, Jordan Valley Trail, D & K formally Larrys in Elmira, up the Chandler HIlls trail until I lost the trail right at dark, then a little ditch banging as after i lost the trail I started south and east as I knew I would hit the highway. Came out by Vanderbilt and theh hit the 7 trail back to Gaylord, Waters and Frederic…..Perfect day of riding. Met up with Big John and Speed Bump for Spike burgers about 9 last night.I might go again this afternoon as I am thinking about a burger at Talleys. Supposed to get cold this weekend. Rode to Lovells last night and then home, left home this morning and rode towards Starvation Lake and then down to Frederic, conditions on trails nice and fluffy and smooth. Happy to say that trail 7 south out of Frederic along with trails 47, 679 and 76 all very nice. I rode 26 miles back here to Frederic and came into sledheads to warm up and am heading back out. Its 16 degrees at almost 1 in the afternoon. Pics are from last night and this morning. Heading back out. Closed again and gone riding. Thanks for checking in. Pete #gaylord #snowphotos
