— TRAIL CONDITION UPDATE — 2/11/2018

What a difference a day makes! Things didn’t change much until this morning. We got about 4 or 5" of fresh snow today. It’s fluffy but we will be going out to try to use it to build up the base. The base is icy so be careful out there

Hopefully the warm-up in the forecast won’t set us back too much. Time will tell.

We’ve got snow! Is it a lot? No, but it IS enough to groom. Our Houghton Lake trail is reported as rideable, but with thin areas and some areas with rough ice – most likely caused by wheeled traffic during the warm-up. The Roscommon trail is rough due to lack of snow, but it is also rideable. We’re having a little snow this morning – small dense flakes that settle nicely. Not expecting a lot, but every bit will help. So, the report reads as "Rideable, but not Good."

The area behind the Clubhouse (the small loop) is poor, but we’re setting our sights on having a good Snow Run with our route running where the trails are the best. All checkpoints are also accessible by road, so we are looking forward to a good turnout. Let’s still do our Snow Dancin’ to get the trails in shape for the rest of the season.
