St. Helen / Roscommon Trail Report – 02/11

— TRAIL CONDITION UPDATE — 2/11/2018

What a difference a day makes! Things didn’t change much until this morning. We got about 4 or 5" of fresh snow today. It’s fluffy but we will be going out to try to use it to build up the base. The base is icy so be careful out there

Hopefully the warm-up in the forecast won’t set us back too much. Time will tell.

Keep dancin’! It’s not over yet!

It's too warm to groom. I haven't been on the trails since Sunday, but with these temps we all know that the trails are deteriorating quickly. At best you can expect an icy base in the shaded areas and slush or mud in the areas that have been exposed to sunshine. Very discouraging snowmobile season. Hopefully it's not over yet.

We appreciate the support of all of the visitors and busnesses and will continue to do as much as we can to keep this area a fun trail-riding destination all year long.

If you are not a member of the Snowpackers, please consider joining. We are a fun group of trail-riding enthusiasts of every level all year long. We plan fun activities all year long and we always have room for more like-minded trail users.

We are having our monthly meeting this Saturday at 10am at the clubhouse. 520 N. St. Helen rd, St. Helen, MI. Everyone is welcome and we'd love to have you there!

Our trails are in the best shape they have been in all year! This is the first time this year I have been comfortable in rating them as 'GOOD'.

But, please don't stop snow dancing! There is a bit of a warm-up in the forecast that could screw things up. Let's hope not.

Went from Houghton Ave to Ma Deeters on Sunday...trails were beautiful...thank you for what you do!

Rode the trails yesterday and today, and they were in excellent shape except for a few spots that didn't have any snow. Great job by the Snowpackers!

Yes. But it’s going to be 40 two days in a row!

Morning snowpackers club quick question, does the trails get groomed to Meredith grade rd? The start of trail 655? Or be best to unload on Waco? Thanks in advance. Heading first thing in the morning

How are the trails holding up in the heat today?
