Ironwood Trail Report – 01/16

IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 01/16

Please support our sponsors like Pit Stop Bar & Grill! Our VP Jerry says groomers are staffed with all volunteers tonight (every night!) and grooming our entire 100 mile system from 7pm to 7am. Plenty of snow for bumps but it’s "regrind"…old snow and dirt being relaid. Snow is thin, trails are icy, they are not white despite fresh snow. Trail condition is poor but trails are busy. So, to thank riders for coming we’re making every effort to do some good..

IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 01/15

We have 1/2-1" of snow as of 6am Cst. Yesterday’s forecast had snow starting at 9am. We had additional trail feedback that the base is very thin to gone Ramsay Crossing to Wakefield, very poor. If riding before we get several inches between Bessemer & Wakefield please go slow, trails are very icy as snirt base in areas refuses to stay put. More details tonight!

<>

While we wait for lake effect to start, please note current conditions region wide are poor. We need snow! Around 2" so far here in Wakefield-Ironwood-Bessemer area.
