IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 1/9
Trail 160 is a special trail. It runs from Ironwood north through the Gogebic Range to Saxon Harbor. It features four incredible scenic vista’s. Thanks to Snow Chaser’s Lodging LLP for the picture from riding this weekend. Thank you GRTA MVP Jerry Nezworski for making the sign. We groomed last night with two rigs, our Tucker has some water issues from running nonstop for days trying to pack in the fresh snow.

Here's a look at this winter's snowfall totals so far at some of the bigger cities across Michigan. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Cloud cover increases today ahead of the next batch of wintry precipitation that moves in this evening into the night. By tomorrow, the wintry precipitation will become more confined to the north, while showers and thunderstorms sneak into the southern counties. A few of these storms could even become strong at times with large hail. ❄️ A half-hour drive north of Lake Gogebic, you’ll encounter Lake Superior. Known for its lake effect snow, Gitche Gumee is always moody.
❄️ Friday, March 27th: Here’s a look at lakefront conditions in Ontonagon County. A band of lake effect snow moved in, dropping two inches in one hour.

I took a trip to Rhinelander and got a few pics of the trails along the way. There's no snow in Rhinelander and very little in Eagle River. Watersmeet looks bad and doesn't start looking good until Mass City.
