ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via North Country Snowmobile Club UP – 02/26
Currently 35 degrees at midnight, we are only sending 1 groomer out tonight on our east trails from Ontonagon to Greenland and Rockland, hopefully cooler temps tomorrow night, calling for 4 to 8" Sunday
ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via North Country Snowmobile Club UP – 02/25
Trail Report – We have 1 groomer down, but the other two were out last night. We rode part of our system yesterday and trails range from excellent to fair. With the warm weather we had last week we are moving into late season riding conditions. There is ice in some corners and bare spots on South facing open areas. We also have some water hazards that have opened up. Most road crossings are bare. We groomed:
Trail 1 from White Pine to lake of the Clouds Overlook.
Trail 11 (South Boundary Road) from the junction with 1 to the junction with102
Trail 12 from White Pine to Ontonagon
Trail 137 from Ontonagon to Rockaland
Trail 101 from the junction with Trail 12 to the junction with Trail 13 Trail 13 from the junction with Trail 101 to Rockland. PLEASE NOTE: We DID NOT groom Rock Hill just West of Rockland and East of the river crossing. Detour along Victoria Road and Trail 137. Ride right and have fun out there!
